Their voices are still haunting vapors in my head…
A woman who walked from the bondage of abuse into freedom.
One who learned to pray and changed her life.
A girl obsessed with external perfection to hide internal pain.
Some who brought out the quirky, funny…
A mother and daughter who celebrated at the wrong party.
A turtle who had learned to fly (this woman spoke costume and all…big smiles).
Prayer requests scribbled on a shower wall with crayon soap.
A woman on a chocolate fast making a carrot cake late into the night.
Others passionate for a cause…
Newly single again and fighting for purity in every area of life.
A woman with a heart full of longing for children but harboring empty arms.
One who sees foreign women with all their needs and aches.
Each of the women in my amazing 2011 She Speaks speaker evaluation group brought their own unique voice and their own beautiful story. I was blessed and learned something from each one.
Love your voice and tell your story!
On my personal blog www.amycarroll.org, I’m talking about calling on Mondays for the next little bit (Until I get tired of my own voice. Ha!) Click here for the first installment, and join me any time. It’s not specifically for speakers, so you can invite your friends along.
