I have in my in-box a fabulous new blog post from my partner-in-crime, Karen Ehman, but I’m going to make you wait in suspense until next week while I do some updates. As we say in the South, come back now ya’ll, ya hear?
She Speaks–Big news! She Speaks registration will be opening soon. If you haven’t been, you just have to make plans to join us. I know I’m prejudiced because I love my Proverbs 31 sisters so much, but it’s honestly one of the very best conferences I’ve ever attended. You will receive not only a head-spinning amount of information about every aspect of speaking and writing ministry but also the most heart-expanding spiritual retreat you’ve ever experienced. I promise. Any former attendees care to testify?
You can go now and see all the breakout sessions that will be offered this year so that you can plan ahead. The best thing to do is to go ahead and subscribe to the blog. There aren’t posts all year long, but it will guarantee that you are alerted when registration begins. It should be within the next week or two. If you plan to attend, you need to go ahead and register so that you don’t end up on a waiting list 200 women long (seriously). We’d be so sad to miss you!
Social Networking–If any of you have already joined us on Twitter or Facebook, you know that we’ve done pretty minimal posting. That’s changing! We’ll have regular posts at least once a work-day with encouraging scripture, inspirational quotes, helpful tips and fabulous outside resources. We’ll also pop in a couple times a week with extra insights. You can join us on Facebook by clicking on the box to the right.
Entering the Current Century–One of my clients couldn’t believe that she actually had to find a stamp and write a check for our services. I know. I know. We’re dinosaurs. Soon we’ll have PayPal on our website for your convenience. We will also be adding quarterly conference calls to allow you to receive some of the same teaching that we’re offering our individual clients. Karen and I are so excited to get to know even more of you!
A Request–If you’ve enjoyed our weekly speaker tips on our blog, would you be willing to share and recommend us to your friends who speak or teach? We are so thankful for each one of you, and we’d love to add to our speaker-girl community. Since you know that Karen’s post for next week is something to look forward to, now is a terrific time.
Any other questions?–I think I’m caught up on the questions that have been submitted so far. Do you have any pressing questions about speaking or ministry that you’d like to have addressed on the blog? Please submit them as a comment, and we’ll be sure to get to yours in the coming weeks.
Thank you for all your love and support, speaker-girls. I love doing Kingdom building with you!
Amy
Hi Amy! I am excited about the changes that you and your team are making. Do to some personal conflict I won’t be able to attend the “She Speaks” conference (and I am sad about that), but I was wondering if you have ever thought of or if there is any plan to offer a teleseminar or a webinar???
Christie,
You can see that we’ve made a small change to our website and added a “group services” tab. Very soon Karen and I will be putting information on that page about training calls that we’re planning for groups. Thanks so much for asking!! Watch for more information coming soon, and we hope you’ll join us.
Amy
I am a Next Step and a She Speaks grad and I can honestly say that both have lit my writing and speaking ministry ON FIRE! Amy is an incredible coach that helped me really think through what message God had given me to share. The She Speaks conference is in explicable! Seriously, it is a conference that can only really be understood by experience. My favorite takeaway: We sisters are all in this together. We are not competitors, but rather teammates all seeking to lead more and more people into a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ through wriitng, speaking, and blogging. The network of sister teammates that I gained from attending She Speaks last year is invaluable. Can’t wait for this year!
I am eagerly awaiting the registration to open up for She Speaks. This will be my first speaking conference ever. I am so looking forward to meeting other women who have a similar hearbeat and “get it”. I am excied about the teachings and have already made my outline of what sessions to attend. Can’t wait til all the details are posted. I am new to your blog. . get your posts sent to my email for about a month now.
Hello Amy, I am really looking forward to the She Speaks conference. I have been eagerly checking the website for weeks. I was thrilled to see the sessions listed this past week. I have prayed over them and trying to decide what I am going to take. This will be my first conference. I am planning on doing the writer’s track. I have been actively writing my blog for almost a year and am currently working on my manuscript. Do you have any suggestions for sessions I should definately take or things I need to do to prepare before the conference?
I look forward to meeting you.

I can honestly tell you that I’ve never been disappointed in one of our breakouts. Our exectutive team schedule top notch presenters. If I were in your shoes attending for the first time, I’d try to sign up for a few things that I feel I really need and then choose one or so that I’m uninformed but curious about.
Next week, I’ll link back to last year’s blog posts leading up to She Speaks. They’re the scoop and skinny about how to be prepared! You’ll also get tons of information from our team once you have registered.
Make sure to come and introduce yourself at the Next Step table. I look forward to meeting you too!
Hello Amy, I am so excited about She Speaks and have been looking forward to it since I first learned of this conference in last August.
My question: I have taught a Bible Study for about a year, and spoken on several radio and Tv interviews. I have a speaking coach that works with me. Nothing was ever recorded because we were in a very old church at the time ( have since built a new church). I can get a copy of the radio interview. But I believe that I am intermediate and not beginner. I just don’t fully line up with the outline for intermediate. May I still sign up for intermediate and bring you what I have?
Thank you, Diane Bailey
There are lots of women who will “fall in between” the category definitions. We don’t ask for the recording, so if you think you will feel most comfortable and fit best in an intermediate group definitely sign up for that. I hope our paths will cross at She Speaks!
The She Speaks conference is wonderful! I attended last year (2011) for my first time, and learned so much. Here is my blog post on that retreat.

I hope to go again in 2013 in time for my next query.
Have a wonderful 2012 She Speaks! I’m looking forward to next year.
